History

In the Spring of 1968, a small group of twelve (12) Delta Beta Brothers commenced to organize the Southwestern Graduate Chapter.

Those present at this first meeting included: Melvin Musgrove, Woody Weaver, Connie Moore, Lawrence Forbis, David Pinkett, Don Roberts and Dr. David Coates.

The Southwestern Graduate Chapter was chartered at Southwestern State College (now Southwestern Oklahoma State University) following the Homecoming party on October 18, 1969.

Twenty three (23) initiates of Delta Beta were listed on the charter. Since that time the Graduate Chapter has helped to sponser various undergraduate events for Delta Beta and meets annually at Homecoming in Weatherford.

Charter Members are Dale Allen, Ronnie Anderson, Jimmie Broomer, Bill Buckman, David Coates, John Fort, Larry Hair, Robert Helmke, Stephen M. Hellwege, H. Don Henry, Virgil Krocker, Bob Martin, Jimmy Dale Martin, Conny M. Moore, Melvin B. Musgrove, Charles Nimmo, Travis E. Pendley, David E. Pickett, Richard L. Power, Gary D. Russi, Ernie Sykorg, Woodrow Weaver and Leo Wink.
